1990

Bassam Nowfal founded Al Rana Equip. & Machines Trdg. Est. (AREMATES) on 12th May, 1990 after years of mechanical/technical experienced as a SERVICE MANAGER way back 1986 up to 1989 from Arab Gulf Equipment, Dubai -UAE, a LIEBHERR & POTAIN Tower Cranes agent with mixed business of EARTHMOVING MACHINES  & Mobile Cranes.

We started to invest HUNDREDTH’S of used tower cranes branded LIEBHERR & POTAIN along with mixed NEW & USED earthmoving machines/equipment.

1994  

The firm’s success prompted AREMATES to move to its 2 premises in other locations of Industrial Area no. 3,

Sharjah –UAE.

2000-2003 (up to date)

AREMATES invested more in USED/NEW EARTHMOVING MACHINES such as dozers, excavators, loaders, telehandlers, forklift , articulated trucks , generators, concrete pumps, concrete placing boom, concrete mixers, tipper trucks, tractor heads, trench shoring, batching plants, crusher & mobile cranes TADANO & KATO brands.

2004

June 2004– June 2007 – AREMATES acquired a 3 years AGENCY contract for GJJ ZENIT PASSENGER/MATERIAL HOIST and purchased more than 50 nos. of brand new HOISTS ranging from 1000 kgs. to 2000 kgs.  All these equipments were sold to entire GULF COUNTRIES. This was the first Chinese brand of HOISTS to enter GULF COUNTRIES.

2005

March 28, 2005 - AREMATES has expanded to open a new branch “Al Rana Equip. & Machines Trdg. FZE”, P.O Box 42462, Plot no. 2F -03- Phase 1, Hamriyah  Free Zone , Sharjah-UAE  office with stock yard & workshop  covering a total  area of 23,000 square meters.

May, 2005 – December , 2006

AREMATES purchased more than 26 YONGMAO brand new TOWER CRANES.  All these cranes were sold to the entire countries in the Gulf.  This was the first Chinese Tower Crane brand to enter into Gulf Countries , mainly in UAE.

June, 2005 – May, 2010  

AREMATES acquired  a  5 years AGENCY  contract  for  TEREX-COMEDIL TOWER CRANES  and purchased more than 140 brand new  CRANES  ranging from 8 tons to 32 tons both FLAT TOP  &  LUFFING  JIB  TYPES . All these cranes were sold and rented to GULF COUNTRIES & Far East Asia.

2006-2009

June , 2006  - May, 2008 – due to market demand for Chinese brand of TOWER CRANES, Passenger/Material Hoists, Concrete Placing Booms, Platforms - AREMATES purchased more than 100 brand new mixed equipment  SYM , ANKA-PANTA, Potential, Gondola  brands.    All these equipments were sold to all the GULF COUNTRIES.

2010

June 1, 2010 (up to present)    – AREMATES continued with TEREX as a DEALER  for TEREX TOWER CRANES, ACCESSORIES  & SPARE PARTS .  With their continued support  we additionally INVEST more  RENTAL  fleet  to  Singapore JV.

2011-2012

AREMATES  officially entered a RENTAL  JOINT VENTURE  for TOWER CRANES  , with “UNI-CRANE PTE  LTD. ”, 29 Tuas Avenue 11, # 02-03  , Singapore 639089 .

2013-onwards

November, 2013 is opening “Al Rana Equipment Trading LLC , Dubai –UAE .
